# Set Up a Workday Connection

Set up the Workday connection to start the flow of data into Data 360.

| User Permissions Needed |                                                             |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| To create a connection: | System Admin profile or Data Cloud Architect permission set |

Before you begin:

- Review [IP addresses](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_data_cloud_ip_address_allowlist.htm&type=5) to make sure the Workday connection has the necessary access.

1. In Data Cloud, click **Setup**, and select **Data Cloud Setup**.

2. Under External Integrations, select **Other Connectors**.

3. Click **New**.

4. On the Source tab, select **Workday** and click **Next**.

5. Enter a connection name and connection API name, and provide the authentication and connection details.

6. For Authentication Details, enter a username and password to authenticate the user.

7. For Connection Details, provide these inputs.

    1. Enter a URL.

The URL can be obtained in your Workday account under **View API Clients**. Locate the **Workday REST API Endpoint**, which will resemble `https://wd3-impl-services1.workday.com/ccx/service/mycompany_gms1/Human_Resources`. In this example, the URL is `https://wd3-impl-services1.workday.com`.

    2. Enter a tenant value.

The tenant can be derived from the Rest API Endpoint found in the previous step. Using that example, the tenant is `mycompany_gms1`.

    3. Optionally, add a value for service, WSDL version, and WSDL URL.

8. To review your configuration, click **Test Connection**.

9. Click **Save**.

After the connector details are accepted, the connection is created and listed under Connectors. You can now create data streams.
