# Set Up a Starburst Galaxy Connection

Set up the Starburst Galaxy connection to start the flow of data into Data 360.

| User Permissions Needed |                                                             |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| To create a connection: | System Admin profile or Data Cloud Architect permission set |

**Requirements**:

- **Firewall**: If your instance is behind a network firewall, add these [Data 360 IP addresses](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_data_cloud_ip_address_allowlist.htm&type=5) to your network firewall’s access control list before configuring a connection.
- **Networking**: Starburst has two platforms - Galaxy (SaaS) and Enterprise (software). Galaxy is fully managed by Starburst and hosted in the cloud, while Enterprise is generally hosted either in a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) or on-premises in a private datacenter. This connector only supports connecting to Galaxy. Use the [Trino](/docs/data/data-cloud-int/guide/c360-a-set-up-trino-connection.html) connector to connect to the Enterprise platform.

  **note:** Connecting to Starburst over AWS PrivateLink isn't supported.

**Set Up The Connection**

1. In Data 360, click **Setup**, and select **Data Cloud Setup**.

2. Under External Integrations, select **Other Connectors**.

3. In the Sources tab, select **Starburst Galaxy**.

4. Enter a name for the connection.

5. Enter the username and password for the user that Data 360 should use to connect to your Starburst Galaxy instance.

6. Enter the public SSL certificate issued to the server hosting the Starburst Galaxy instance and the public SSL certificate of the root certificate authority in the certificate chain for that server.

7. In the URL field, enter the hostname and port for the Starburst Galaxy instance. For example, enter this to connect over HTTPS:

    ```
    {account_name}-{cluster_name}.trino.galaxy.starburst.io:443
    ```
