# Set Up a Microsoft SharePoint Structured Connection (Beta)

Set up the Microsoft SharePoint Structured connection to start the flow of data into Data 360.

**note:** This feature is a Beta Service. A customer may opt to try a Beta Service in its sole discretion. Any use of the Beta Service is subject to the applicable Beta Services Terms provided at [Agreements and Terms.](https://www.salesforce.com/company/legal/agreements/) If you have questions or feedback about this Beta Service, contact the Data 360 Connector team at [datacloud-connectors-beta@salesforce.com.](mailto:datacloud-connectors-beta@salesforce.com)

| User Permissions Needed |                                                             |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| To create a connection: | System Admin profile or Data Cloud Architect permission set |

Before you begin:

- Enable the Beta connector through the feature manager. See [Enable Data 360 Features](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_feature_manager.htm&type=5).
- Verify your admin has enabled firewalls on the system you want Data 360 to connect to by including these [IP addresses](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_data_cloud_ip_address_allowlist.htm&type=5) to your allowlists.
- Choose an authentication method. You can use named credentials, an auth provider, or an external auth identity provider.

1. In Data Cloud, click **Setup**, and select **Data Cloud Setup**.

2. Under External Integrations, select **Other Connectors**.

3. Click **New**.

4. On the Source tab, select **Microsoft SharePoint Structured** and click **Next**.

5. Enter a connection name, connection API name, and provide the authentication details.

6. In the Authentication Details section, select how Data 360 authenticates to Microsoft SharePoint.

    - **Named Credentials**: Reference the named credential that you created earlier. To create external and named credentials, see [Create External Credentials for the Microsoft SharePoint Structured Connector](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-int/guide/c360-a-microsoftsharepoint-cred.md).

    - **Auth Provider**: Select an authentication provider:

        - **OneDrive/SharePoint Data Cloud** (Salesforce-managed): Select **OneDrive/SharePoint Data Cloud**, click **Authenticate**, and complete the Microsoft authentication flow. Then confirm access. Salesforce automatically creates the external credential and named credential.

        - **Custom Authentication Provider**: To use an authentication provider that you configured, see [OAuth-based authentication](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_setup_oauth_openid.htm&type=5).

    - **External Auth Identity Provider**: Reference an external auth identity provider that manages outbound OAuth 2.0 authentication. It works with external credentials and named credentials to authenticate Salesforce with external APIs. See [External Credentials](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.nc_create_edit_external_credential.htm&type=5).

7. To review your configuration, click **Test Connection**.

8. Click **Save**.

After the connector details are accepted, the connection is created and listed under Connectors.
