Set Up a Microsoft OneDrive Connection (Beta)

Set up the Microsoft OneDrive connection to start the flow of data into Data 360.

note: This feature is a Beta Service. A customer may opt to try a Beta Service in its sole discretion. Any use of the Beta Service is subject to the applicable Beta Services Terms provided at Agreements and Terms. If you have questions or feedback about this Beta Service, contact the Data 360 Connector team at datacloud-connectors-beta@salesforce.com.

User Permissions Needed
To create a connection: System Admin profile or Data Cloud Architect permission set

Before you begin:

  • Enable the Beta connector through the feature manager. See Enable Data 360 Features.
  • Verify your admin has enabled firewalls on the system you want Data 360 to connect to by including these IP addresses to your allowlists.
  • Choose an authentication method. You can use named credentials, an auth provider, or an external auth identity provider.
  1. In Data Cloud, click Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.

  2. Under External Integrations, select Other Connectors.

  3. Click New.

  4. On the Source tab, select Microsoft OneDrive and click Next.

  5. Enter a connection name, connection API name, and provide the authentication details.

  6. In the Authentication Details section, select how Data 360 authenticates to Microsoft OneDrive.

    • Named Credentials: Reference the named credential that you created earlier. To create external and named credentials, see Create External Credentials for the Microsoft OneDrive Connector.

    • Auth Provider: Select an authentication provider:

      • OneDrive/SharePoint Data Cloud (Salesforce-managed): Select OneDrive/SharePoint Data Cloud, click Authenticate, and complete the Microsoft authentication flow. Then confirm access. Salesforce automatically creates the external credential and named credential.

      • Custom Authentication Provider: To use an authentication provider that you configured, see OAuth-based authentication.

    • External Auth Identity Provider: Reference an external auth identity provider that manages outbound OAuth 2.0 authentication. It works with external credentials and named credentials to authenticate Salesforce with external APIs. See External Credentials.

  7. To review your configuration, click Test Connection.

  8. Click Save.

After the connector details are accepted, the connection is created and listed under Connectors. You can now create data streams.
