# Set Up a Connection to LY Ads

Create activation targets and activate your Data 360 segments to LY Ads.

**note:** This process is a multi-step solution that requires different roles and permission sets to complete in Data 360 and LY Ads.

1. [Create an advertising account on LY Ads.](https://promotionalads.business.yahoo.co.jp/olsui/signup/index/)

2. [Set up an external activation platform](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_connect_external_activation_platform.htm&type=5) - Configure platform parameters, authentication details, and required mappings.

3. [Create an external platform activation target in Data 360](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_create_external_activation_platform_activation_target.htm&type=5) - Define an activation target by specifying the destination system, data mapping, and scheduling details.

4. When redirected to LY Ads, log in to LY Ads with your LINE Business ID and authorize the connection. The LY Ads API uses the OAuth 2.0 framework for authentication. From the prompt, select the account you want to connect to.

   **note:** LY Ads is part of LY Corporation, which also operates the LINE messaging platform. Log in to LY Ads with the LINE Business ID associated with your LY Ads account. LY Ads can require an "Integrated Business ID" to log in. Follow their instructions to connect your Yahoo! Japan or LINE accounts to their new "Integrated Business ID" in LY Ads. 5. Click **Enable**.
