# Prepare Your IXIA CCMS Connection

Before you create an IXIA CCMS connection, complete these prerequisites. The IXIA CCMS connector uses a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) staging area to transfer your content to Data 360 and requires Secure Shell (SSH) key authentication. Create a staging area, generate an SSH key pair, and gather your connection details.
For instructions, see [Working with a Staging Area](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-int/c360-a-data-cloud-integrations.md#working-with-a-staging-area)

## Find Your Username and Hostname

After you create the [staging area](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-int/c360-a-data-cloud-integrations.md#working-with-a-staging-area), Data 360 provides a username and hostname. IXIA CCMS requires this information when you create your IXIA CCMS Destination.

1. In Data 360, click **Setup**, and select **Data Cloud Setup**.
2. From the left navigation menu, click **Staging Area**.
3. From the staging area details page, locate the **Username** and **Host Name**.
4. Copy and save these values in a secure location. You need to enter this information in your IXIA CCMS Project Organizer.

## Configure Your CCMS
Decide what content you want to upload to Data 360. Prepare the content and note:

- HTML5 transtype required: You must publish using an HTML5/WebHelp transformation scenario (transtype). Other output formats are currently not supported by the Data 360 connector.
- DITA Map / Bookmap restriction: Any topic that is not explicitly included in the selected DITA Map (or referenced sub-maps) will exclude itself from the build.
- Check-in requirement: Any content changes must be saved and checked in (Released/Approved state) to the CCMS server prior to running the build. Local or offline edits that have not been synchronized with the repository will not be included in the Output Generator process.
- Automated ZIP Packaging: Data 360 expects to receive a ZIP archive containing the output. The IXIA CCMS Output Generator handles this automatically. Ensure you choose the specific Data 360 production transtype configured by your administrator, which generates the HTML5 content and packages it directly into a ZIP file upon completion.

## Configure Your IXIA CCMS Destination
The following instructions are for IXIA CCMS. If there are any issues, contact IXIA customer support.

1. In IXIA CCMS, open the **Project Organizer** and create a destination.
2. Complete the configuration as follows:
   * Set the **Type** to **SFTP**.
   * Enter the **Host Name** that you copied from the [Staging Area](#find-your-username-and-hostname).
   * Set the **Port** to **22**.
   * Set the **Connection Mode** to **Active**.
   * For **Directory**, enter **public_html**.
   * Set **Server Validation** to **No**.
   * For **Authentication**, select **Private Key File** and provide the path to the SSH Private Key file you created earlier. See [Generate an SSH Key Pair](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-int/c360-a-data-cloud-integrations.md#prerequisite-generate-an-ssh-key-pair) for details.
3. In the **Login Credentials** section:
   * For **Server**, enter the **Host Name** from your [Staging Area](#find-your-username-and-hostname).
   * For **Username**, enter the **Username** from your [Staging Area](#find-your-username-and-hostname).
4. You can add a password. There is no requirement for it, unless you are using versions 2023 and below. In these cases, a password is required.
