# Prepare Your Google Drive Structured Connection (Beta)

Before you connect Google Drive to Data 360, gather the required information and perform these preliminary actions in Google Drive and Salesforce.

## Gather Info in Google Drive

- Make sure you complete these steps using a Google account that has access to the files and folders you want to connect to Salesforce.
- To ingest structured data, find the Google Drive folder containing the relevant files. Identify the ID at the end of the folder’s URL. Example: `https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/{id}`.

## Authorize Access to Google Drive

1. In the Google Cloud Console, turn on the [Google Drive API](https://developers.google.com/workspace/guides/enable-apis).
2. In the Google Cloud Console, create an [OAuth 2.0 client ID and client secret](https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/15549257?hl=en) for a web application. Alternatively, in Salesforce Setup, you can create the [OAuth-based authentication for Google](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_setup_oauth_google.htm&type=5&_ga=2.34106148.404664431.1752684931-2026053459.1748019960). Salesforce recommends using the Google Cloud Console to create OAuth credentials.
3. In Salesforce, [create external credentials](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-int/guide/c360-a-googledrive-cred.html) for your Google Drive connection.
