# Create a Flare Unstructured Data Lake Object (UDLO)

Create an unstructured data stream and unstructured data lake object (UDLO) in Data 360. Use the Flare connector to bring your organization's Flare content into Data 360. Harmonize the content for a unified viewing experience.

Before you begin:

- Make sure that you've set up a Flare connection and that you know the name of the Flare connection.

1. From App Launcher, select **Data Cloud**.
2. Click **Data Lake Objects** and then click **New**.
3. Select the **From External Files** tile, and click **Next**.
4. From the **New Data Lake Object** screen, select the **Flare** connector tile, and click **Next**.
5. From the **Connection Details** dropdown, select the Flare [connection](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-int/guide/c360-a-prepare-your-flare-connection.md) you previously created.
6. Enter an Object Name and an Object API Name for the UDLO. See [Data Lake Object Naming Standards](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_data_lake_object_naming.htm&type=5). Make sure that the object API name is unique. The API name field autopopulates based on the Object Name.
7. In the **Unstructured Data Model Object Mapping** section, click **New**.
8. From the **Data Space** dropdown, leave the selection as **Default**.
9. For the Unstructured data model object (UDMO) mapping, enter an Object Name and an Object API Name. Make sure that the object API name is unique. The API name field autopopulates based on the Object Name.
10. Select the checkbox to enable [Content Harmonization](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_harmonize_content_for_consistent_viewing.htm) for the UDLO. Leave it deselected to enable content harmonization later.

**note:** If you enable content harmonization now, AI Enrichments (Summary and Q&A) are disabled by default. To enable AI Enrichments, create a [Harmonization Configuration](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_unstructured_content_harmonization.htm) **and** enable [Einstein](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.generative_ai_enable.htm).

**note:** When you enable content harmonization, you enable collection of [Content Viewer engagement data](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_content_viewer_user_engagement_insights.htm&type=5).

11. Click **Next**.
12. In the Search Index Configuration section, leave the **Enable Semantic Search with System Defaults** checkbox selected. The system default settings automatically select text fields and apply a chunking strategy for each field. Deselect the checkbox to create a search index configuration later.
13. Leave the remaining fields as is to use the default settings, or rename the Search Configuration or modify its settings to make changes.
14. **Save** your work.
The connector ingests HTML5 content published from Flare to the Staging Area, and from there into the UDLO. You can monitor sync status and view the total records and last number of records processed on the **Data Stream** tab of the connector.

## Edit the Data Stream

After you create the UDLO, you have the option to edit the settings. Each connector has different settings available.

1. From App Launcher, select **Data Cloud**.
2. Select the **Data Stream** tab.
3. Find the row for the Flare connection data stream.
4. At the end of the row, expand the menu and click **Edit Data Stream**.
5. Change any of the available settings. See the list below.
6. **Save** your changes.

For this connector, you can edit the following settings.

- **Data Stream Name**: Choose a different name (see step 9 above).
- **Refresh Mode**: This connector only uses **Upsert**. There is no need to change it.
