# Prepare Your Confluence Unstructured Connection

To set up a Confluence Unstructured connection with Data 360, you need to gather some details from your Atlassian Confluence Cloud environment. Collect this information before you get started.

## Step 1 - Locate Your Confluence Cloud ID

You need your Confluence Cloud ID to connect Data 360 to your Confluence instance. The Cloud ID uniquely identifies your Atlassian Cloud site.

1. Open your Confluence instance in a browser.
2. Navigate to the following URL, replacing `<your-domain>` with your Atlassian site domain: `https://<your-domain>.atlassian.net/_edge/tenant_info`
3. The response contains a JSON object. Copy the value of the `cloudId` field.

For example, if your Confluence URL is `https://mycompany.atlassian.net`, go to `https://mycompany.atlassian.net/_edge/tenant_info` and copy the `cloudId` value.

Save this Cloud ID to use during the connection setup.

## Step 2 - Locate Your Atlassian Organization ID

You need your Atlassian Organization ID to allow Data 360 to retrieve user information from your Confluence instance.

1. Sign in to your Atlassian Admin console at `https://admin.atlassian.com`.
2. Select your organization.
3. The Organization ID appears in the URL: `https://admin.atlassian.com/o/<org-id>/overview`
4. Copy the Organization ID from the URL.

Save this Organization ID to use during the connection setup.

## Step 3 - Generate an Atlassian Admin API Token

You need an Atlassian Admin API token to allow Data 360 to retrieve user data from your Atlassian organization.

1. Sign in to your Atlassian Admin console at `https://admin.atlassian.com`.
2. Select your organization.
3. Navigate to **Organization Settings** > **API keys**.
4. Click **Create API key**.
5. Enter a name for the API key and set an expiration date.
6. Click **Create**.
7. Copy the API key value.

**Important:** Store this API key securely. You can't view it again after you close the creation dialog.

Save this Admin API Token to use during the connection setup.

## Step 4 - Locate Your Confluence Space ID

You need your Confluence Space ID to scope the data ingestion to a specific space when creating a Data Lake Object (DLO).

1. Open Confluence Cloud in your browser.
2. Navigate to the space you want to ingest data from.
3. The Space ID appears in the URL. For example, in the URL `https://mycompany.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ENG/overview`, the Space ID is `ENG`.

Alternatively:

1. Go to **Space Settings** for the desired space.
2. The Space ID is displayed on the Space Details page.

Save this Space ID to use when creating the Data Lake Object.
