# Set Up a Connection to Amazon Ads

Create activation targets and activate your Data 360 segments to Amazon DSP.

**note:** This process is a multi-step solution that requires different roles and permission sets to complete in Data 360 and Amazon Ads.

1. [Create an advertising account on Amazon Ads.](https://advertising.amazon.com/API/docs/en-us/guides/account-management/accounts/create-accounts)

2. [Set up an external activation platform](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_connect_external_activation_platform.htm&type=5) - Configure the platform parameters, authentication details, and required mappings.

3. [Create an external platform activation target in Data 360](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_create_external_activation_platform_activation_target.htm&type=5) - Define an activation target by specifying the destination system, data mapping, and scheduling details.

4. When redirected to Amazon Ads, select the Amazon DSP account where you want to activate user segments. If you also have a linked AMC instance, you can optionally select it here. The authentication method used is OAuth 2.0.

5. Click **Enable**.
