# Tax Refund DMO

A refund disbursement transaction returning overpaid tax to a taxpayer - one row per money-movement event, capturing the net and offset amounts, disbursement instrument and date, settled outcome, and append-only reissue chain. Anchored to the taxpayer's tax account and tax period.

- **Description:** The free-text explanation of why the refund failed. Populated when Status is Returned, Cancelled, or Stale Dated.

- **Description:** The unique identifier for this refund transaction.

### InternalOrganizationId

- **Data Type:** DATETIME
- **Description:** The timestamp when this record was last modified.

### NetAmt

- **Field API Name:** `NetAmt__c`
- **Data Type:** CURRENCY
- **Description:** The net amount disbursed to the taxpayer. In an offset case, this is the net amount the taxpayer received, not the gross approved refund.

### OriginalRefundId

- **Field API Name:** `OriginalRefundId__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The original refund that this reissue supersedes. Populated when this refund replaces a previously returned or expired refund.

### PaymentIdentifier

- **Field API Name:** `PaymentIdentifier__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The refund trace or issuance reference from the authority or disbursing agent.

### PaymentInstrumentId

- **Field API Name:** `PaymentInstrumentId__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The payment instrument the refund was disbursed to (for example, bank account for direct deposit or check for paper check). This field is null if no instrument applies, such as a fully offset refund where nothing reached the taxpayer.

### ReasonCode

- **Field API Name:** `ReasonCode__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The reason for the refund. Possible values are: Overpayment, Amended Return, Offset, Adjustment, Interest, Other.

### ReasonText

- **Field API Name:** `ReasonText__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The free-text explanation for the refund.

### Status

- **Field API Name:** `Status__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The outcome status of this refund. Possible values are: Disbursed, Returned, Stale Dated, Cancelled.

### TaxFilingId

- **Field API Name:** `TaxFilingId__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The filing this refund results from. This field is null if the refund is not yet matched to a specific filing.

### TaxpayerTaxAccountId

- **Field API Name:** `TaxpayerTaxAccountId__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The taxpayer's tax account that received the refund.

### TaxRefundName

- **Field API Name:** `TaxRefundName__c`
- **Data Type:** TEXT
- **Description:** The display name shown in lists, lookups, and search. The format is [RefundReason] - [Amount] [Currency] - [TaxYear].

### TaxTypePeriodId
