# Execute a Code Extension via Batch Data Transform

Execute your code extension by running the batch data transform that uses it. A batch data transform created by using a code extension displays the source as Code Extension and lists the source and target data objects in its details.

## Prerequisites

- Access a Data 360 org with appropriate permission sets.
- Enable Code Extension in Data Cloud Setup by using the Feature Manager. See [Enable Data 360 Features in Feature Manager](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_feature_manager.htm&language=en_US&type=5).
- [Invoke Code Extension by Creating a Batch Data Transform](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-code-ext/guide/create-batch-transform.md).

## Steps to execute Code Extension

1. In Data 360, click the **Data Transforms** tab.

If the Data Transforms tab isn't visible, click **More** and select **Data Transforms**.

2. Search for and then run your batch data transform to execute the code extension. See [Run a Batch Data Transform](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_batch_transform_run.htm&type=5).

3. Monitor the code extension execution, review logs, and validate the output in the sandbox to verify your custom script transforms the data as expected. See [Check Batch Data Transform Status](http://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_batch_transform_status.htm&type=5) and [Run History](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-code-ext/guide/view-deployment-details.md).
