# Prototyped UI Components

Some Storefront Next components are representative of the intended storefront experience and they aren't connected to B2C Commerce for data persistence. Although these components render in the UI, their data is temporary and is lost when the page refreshes. These prototyped components require that you set up third-party data sources through extensions before production use.
