# Node Version Support

Customers control which version of Node.js is used to run a Managed Runtime environment for Storefront Next. Every two years, customers must upgrade Node.js versions, as support for older versions is removed to maintain security.

## Supported Node Versions

**Support date definitions**

- **End of Life**: After this date, customers can no longer deploy bundles that use this version of Node.js.
- **Deprecation**: Customers start seeing a warning that a Node.js version upgrade is required for uninterrupted deployments.
- **Availability**: When this version of Node.js was first supported.

**The current recommended version is Node.js 24.**

| Version | Availability date | Deprecation date | End of Life date |
| ------- | ----------------- | ---------------- | ---------------- |
| 24.x | June 9, 2026 | | |

## Opt Out of Email Notifications

By default, project teams receive automated email notifications when their environments are using deprecated or end-of-life Node.js versions. These notifications help ensure timely upgrades and avoid deployment disruptions.

To opt out of these notifications:

1. Log in to [Runtime Admin](https://runtime.commercecloud.com) and then click **Account Settings**.
2. In the **Email Notifications** section, deselect the notification you want to opt out of.

**note:** Keep these notifications enabled to ensure your team stays informed about required Node.js upgrades. Opting out may result in unexpected deployment failures when Node.js versions reach end of life.
