# Get the Health Status

Both the `BasicChatbotClient` and `SessionManagedChatbotClient` interfaces provide the `getHealthStatus()` method to retrieve the bot’s health status.

Status status = client.getHealthStatus();
boolean isRuntimeUp = status.equals(StatusEnum.UP);
```
