# Get Started with API Catalog Connect REST API

Salesforce API Catalog Connect REST API organizes and simplifies headless, programmatic access to the APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers registered in your org. Discover available APIs by source or schema type, inspect API versions and their operations, and register and manage external MCP servers and their allowlisted assets. Use API Catalog Connect REST API as part of your headless solutions to make MCP servers available to your Agentforce agents.
