## A Brief Note About Naming

The Playground App Virtual Device Builds are app builds for virtual devices, and they’re available for testing iOS and Android application builds. Due to different naming conventions between Xcode and Android Studio, we use the term “Simulator” for iOS applications and “Emulator” for Android applications. The two terms describe essentially the same thing. We use the designation “virtual device” to describe the feature in a platform-neutral way.
