- To manually run the policy at any time, from the Retention Policies page, find the name of your policy, and click **Run**.
- To run a policy more than one time, deactivate and then reactivate your policy. Click **Run**.
- To deactivate, delete, or edit your policy, find the name of your policy, click the dropdown arrow, and then select an option.

Retention policy executions aren’t reversible. But you can access or manually retrieve retained data using Heroku’s Postgres dataclips or a third-party database tool such as psql or pgAdmin. You can then import this retrieved data into Salesforce using the Data Loader as either a CSV or JSON file.

- **[Confirm Successful Execution Using Run Logs Tab](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.confirm_successful_execution.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use the Run Logs tab to check that an execution was successful, identify missed steps, and resolve errors.
- **[Identify and Resolve Failed Execution](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.identify_and_resolve_failed_execution.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
When an execution fails, check that Heroku is properly installed and connected. Then run a report or query to identify the failed records and find possible next steps to resolve the error.
