# Reset Your Password With Your Email Address

If you forgot your password and your username, you can reset the password with the new Use Your Email Address button on the Reset Your Password page. You need your MFA method to verify your identity. In some cases, you're asked to answer your security question instead of using MFA.

If you're a Salesforce admin looking for help with resetting a user's password, see [Reset Passwords for Your Users](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.resetting_and_expiring_passwords.htm&language=en_US).

1. On the login page, click the forgot password link.
2. On the reset password page, click **Use Your Email Address**.
3. Enter your email address, and click **Continue**.

Salesforce sends an email to the email address that's configured in your Salesforce personal settings. The email contains instructions to reset your password.

Note If you don't see the email, check your spam folder. If you still can't find it, click Resend the email, and then repeat Step 2.
4. Click the link that's provided in the email. The link expires within 24 hours of when you requested password reset.
5. Salesforce prompts you to verify your identity. If you use multi-factor authentication (MFA), Salesforce prompts you to complete an MFA challenge. If you don't use MFA, Salesforce asks you to answer a security question.
6. After you verify your identity, enter your new password.

If you're having trouble resetting your password, contact your Salesforce admin. If that doesn't work, contact Salesforce Customer Support.
