Features in the Dev channel can be available as a pilot, developer preview, beta, or generally available.

## Dev Channel Features

The Dev channel includes these features:

Dynamic Lists (Developer Preview)

Handle massive amounts of data without slowing down your web browser. Whether you’re showing 50 or 5,000 items, dynamic lists use virtualization to render items as you scroll for a smooth user experience. For more information, see the [Lightning Component Reference](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/lightning-component-reference/guide/).

Right-to-Left (RTL) Improvements

Enjoy better RTL support in Lightning Experience for orgs that use an RTL language like Arabic or Hebrew. RTL fixes across many product areas include replacing directional CSS properties with logical equivalents, such as replacing `margin-left` and `margin-right` to `margin-inline-start` and `margin-inline-end`.

Internal Method Changes in Base Components

Improve component security and encapsulation by restricting access to internal logic. This effort aligns with modern web standards and doesn't impact the public API of the base components. In Summer ‘26, these components start using private methods: `lightning-progress-indicator`, `lightning-progress-ring`, `lightning-progress-step`, and `lightning-spinner`.

## Feature Overrides

Certain features provide override options for you to explicitly disable or enable the feature. Feature overrides are available for the Dev channel only. You can use the default enablement option or choose to override it.

Consider these feature override guidelines for the Dev channel.

- Default: Salesforce controls the availability of the feature.
- Enabled: The feature is always available, regardless of Salesforce’s configuration.
- Disabled: The feature isn’t available, regardless of Salesforce’s configuration.
