# Stop Updates to Live Paste Content

Stop updates to Live Paste content permanently.

### Required Editions

1. In the reference document, select the Live Paste content.
2. From the Live Paste menu, select **Unlink**.

Live Paste content also stops updating if the person who inserts the Live Paste content leaves your organization or loses access to the source document. Anyone with access to the source document can relink the Live Paste content.
