# Lock a Spreadsheet Tab

Lock one tab in a Quip spreadsheet.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Quip desktop app</strong>, <strong>Quip iOS mobile app</strong>, and <strong>Quip on web</strong></td></tr></tbody></table>

1. Open the spreadsheet, and identify the sheet that you want to lock.
2. To open the tab menu, click the down arrow next to the tab name at the bottom of the window.
3. Select **Lock**.

To unlock the sheet, open the tab menu, and select **Unlock**.
