# Lock a Spreadsheet

Lock an entire Quip spreadsheet.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Quip desktop app</strong>, <strong>Quip iOS mobile app</strong>, and <strong>Quip on web</strong></td></tr></tbody></table>

1. From the Spreadsheet menu, select **Advanced**, and then select **Lock Edits to Document**.
2. Confirm that you want to lock edits.

To unlock the spreadsheet, next to the spreadsheet title, select **Edits Disabled**, and then confirm that you want to unlock the document.
