To simulate loyalty program processes for transaction journals: Loyalty Management

Simulation provides a summary of how transaction journals can be processed by the applicable loyalty program processes and doesn't change any data in your org. When you run a simulation, the transaction journal is simulated by the active loyalty program process whose journal type and subtype match that of the transaction journal.

Note
Note You can simulate only the loyalty program processes whose process type is TransactionJournal.

After the simulation is run, you can view the number of points that the process has either credited or debited and the number of vouchers issued. To view how a rule processed the transaction journal, click the loyalty program process rule. You can view these details:

  • Number of points that the rule either credited or debited
  • Debit sequence of currency subtypes for redemption transactions
  • Currency subtype of credit transactions
  • Number of vouchers that the rule issued
  • Outputs for the parameters and formulas that are used in conditions and actions
  • Details of the conditions and condition criteria that the transaction journal fulfilled

If a transaction journal doesn’t meet the eligibility conditions of the process, check the process eligibility rule to learn about which conditions weren’t met by the transaction journal.

Important
Important If you can't view the Loyalty Program Process component on Transaction Journal records, ensure that your admin adds the component from Lightning App Builder.
  1. Go to a Transaction Journal record.
  2. On the Loyalty Program Process component, click Simulation | Simulate.
  3. After the simulation is complete, click each rule to view how it processed the transaction journal.
