# Process Transaction Journals in Batches Using Batch Management

Schedule Loyalty Program Process type Batch Management jobs to process pending Transaction Journal records in manageable batches. Loyalty Program Process type jobs select and process transaction journals based on the filter criteria that you define for the job.

### Required Editions

A Loyalty Program Process type job automatically processes transaction journals using the Loyalty Program Process record whose journal type and subtype match the Transaction Journal record. You can set up one job to process both Accrual and Redemption type transaction journals.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Batch Management, and then select **Batch Management**.
2. Click **New**.
3. While defining your batch job, select these values to create the batch job for processing transaction journals using loyalty program processes:

4. Click **Next**.
5. Create a filter criteria to decide which transaction journals are processed by the job.

    Tip We recommend that you add at least two filter criteria to ensure that only these Transaction Journal records are processed:
    
    - Records in the Pending status
    - Records of the Accrual and Redemption journal type
6. Save your changes.

After you activate your batch job, schedule the Batch Management job using Flows.
