Create Parameters While Designing Rules

Create parameters while adding conditions and actions to loyalty program process rules on the Rules Builder.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Loyalty Management
User Permissions Needed
To create parameters on the Rules Builder:

Loyalty Management permission set

AND

Edit access on Loyalty Program and other required objects

AND

View Setup and Configuration

While defining a step on the Rules Builder, create a parameter to store the value of a condition's resource or an action's output. The parameter automatically inherits the type and data type of the field whose value that parameter stores. For example, if you create a parameter to store the value of a Date type field, the parameter's type is selected as Variable and data type as Date.

  1. To select a parameter, from the field of a condition or action, click the dropdown list.
  2. Click New Parameter.
  3. Define the parameter, and then save your changes.

The parameter is automatically selected to store the value of the field.
