# Configure Privacy Policy Batch Sizes

Adjust the number of records processed per batch to optimize performance and avoid governor limit errors.

### Required Editions

If your privacy jobs fail due to system limits or timeout errors, reduce the batch size to process fewer records at once. You can set this value from 1 through 2,000.

1. In Privacy Center, go to the **Privacy Policies** tab.
2. Open the page containing batch size settings.
    - For a new policy, go to the Add Object page.
    - For an existing policy, select **Edit** from the policy's dropdown list to open the Edit Policy Details page.
3. Select **Set batch size manually**.
4. In the Batch Size field, enter a number from 1 through 2,000.
5. Save your changes.
