# Manage Batch Sizes for Privacy Policy Jobs

Understand how batch sizes affect privacy policy job performance and when to adjust batch sizes to prevent system errors.

Privacy Center processes policy jobs in batches of records. By default, the system processes 2,000 records per batch. While this default is efficient for standard operations, objects with complex relationships or heavy automation, such as Apex triggers, can exceed system limits. Common errors include System.DmlException or LIMIT\_EXCEEDED, which indicate that a transaction took too long or used too many resources.

To make sure that jobs complete successfully, manually reduce the batch size. Processing fewer records at a time reduces the system load for each transaction. Configure batch sizes when adding an object to a new policy or editing an existing policy. Because a small batch size can increase the total run time, incrementally adjust the value to find the best balance between stability and speed.
