# Preference Form Access

After you create and publish a preference form, you’re ready for customers to complete and submit it. You can host your form on an Experience Cloud site, an external website, or a static web page. After you publish the form, create tokens to give your users access to it.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in <strong>Developer</strong>, <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Performance</strong>, and <strong>Unlimited</strong> Editions</td></tr></tbody></table>

With Experience Cloud, in the Experience Builder, you can drag the Preference Manager component onto your site and publish right away. You can also change your users’ ability to use access tokens at any time.

To host your form on an external site, copy the HTML code from the Preference Manager dashboard, and then embed the form into your site.

Generate access tokens from Salesforce record IDs with REST API, Apex, or a token generator on the Preference Manager dashboard. Use access tokens to send a custom and secure preference form link to your external website users and to Experience Cloud users who aren’t logged in. Users don’t need an access token when they’re logged in to the Experience Cloud site the form is hosted on.

- **[Preference Form Access Tokens](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.about_access_tokens.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Create preference form access tokens so that users can view and edit your preference forms from an external site, static web page, or Experience Cloud site without logging in. You can create access tokens in Preference Manager or with REST API or Apex.
- **[Create Preference Form Access Tokens](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.preference_center_tokens.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Create preference form access tokens in Preference Manager so that your users can view and edit your preference forms from an external site, a static web page, or an Experience Cloud site without logging in.
- **[Create Preference Form Access Tokens with Apex](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.preference_manager_tokens_apex.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Create preference form access tokens with Apex.
- **[Create Preference Form Access Tokens with REST API](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.create_access_tokens_rest_api.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Create an access token for Preference Manager forms by using REST API.
- **[Revoke Preference Form Access Tokens with REST API](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.revoke_access_token_rest_api.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Revoke a user’s access token if it becomes compromised. For example, if it’s shared or stolen.
- **[Configure Your Domain to Host Preference Forms](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.preference_center_external_site.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Add the domain where your preference form is hosted to the Cross-Origin Resource Sharing list so that your users can access your form. Complete this step before you host your form on an external website or before you use the default method with hosting on a static web page.
- **[Host Preference Forms on a Static Web Page](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.preference_manager_static_page.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Host your preference form online from Salesforce by using a static web page. Send the web page’s URL directly to your users without creating an external website or Experience Cloud site.
- **[Host a Preference Form on an Experience Cloud Site](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.preference_center_experience_site.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**

- **[Embed Your Preference Form into An External Site](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.preference_center_embed_form.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Use the embed code, which contains the head style sheet link and the HTML script, to retrieve and embed the preference form into your site.
