Each pricing scenario in this section uses this same load-and-consolidate procedure. In production, you typically export this data from a backend ERP system (for example, SAP) as CSV rather than entering it by hand.
- Export pricing condition data from your ERP system as CSV, mapping the required fields: Merged Key Value (or individual key values), Pricing Value, Currency, Valid From, Valid To — plus Tier Threshold Value for scale/tier records.
- From Setup, in Quick Find, enter Data Loader, and select Data Loader. Click Insert, and select External Pricing Key Value (standard conditions) or External Pricing Key Value Tier (scale/tiered conditions). Select your CSV, map the fields, and complete the import.
- From Setup, in Quick Find, enter Data Processing Engine, and select Data Processing Engine.
- Locate the External Pricing Key Value Consolidation job definition. This job ships as a packaged definition and can't be edited or deactivated directly. Select Save As to create an editable copy, and configure its execution parameters: for the first run (full sync), set Last Sync Date to 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z; for subsequent runs (incremental sync), use the timestamp of the last successful run. Unless you need this run to pick up records updated since then, use a timestamp earlier than those records' last-modified date instead.
- Click Save, then select Run Now.
- (Optional) To run this job automatically on a recurring basis, use Salesforce Flow to schedule it — running during off-peak hours is recommended. The Data Processing Engine builder doesn't include a native scheduling option for this job.
Important The External Pricing Key Value Consolidation job must complete
successfully before the system can retrieve newly loaded pricing data for order
calculations.
