Non-qualifying points in a loyalty program expire according to the expiry model defined in the Loyalty Program Currency:
- Fixed Duration: In this model, every time points are earned, transactions are updated with an expiry date based on an expiry duration that is defined for the point type.
- Activity Based: In this model, points don’t expire as long as the member remains active in the program with regular accruals, redemptions, or both. If the member becomes inactive for a time, then all the member’s points expire. The Last Activity Date field in the Loyalty Program member is used to calculate the duration of inactivity.
