Set up the Experience Cloud site that partner users use to connect their external accounts. Identify the supported Google or Microsoft email provider and the API name of the scheduling policy that the scheduling flow uses.

Einstein Activity Capture connects each partner user's external calendar to Salesforce. Salesforce Scheduler checks the connected calendar and excludes busy times from the available appointment times that it returns.

1. Turn on Einstein Activity Capture for the supported Google or Microsoft email provider.
2. Create and activate an Einstein Activity Capture configuration for external partner users.
3. Assign the required Einstein Activity Capture permission set to each partner user.
4. Add the Connected Accounts component to the Experience Cloud site.

For instructions, see [Add Connected Accounts to Your Partner Experience Cloud Site](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.pc_add_connected_accounts_partner_site.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Add the Connected Accounts component so that partner users can authorize Google or Microsoft accounts for Einstein Activity Capture calendar sync.").
5. Configure Salesforce Scheduler to use external calendars when it calculates availability.
6. Update the scheduling flow with the API name of the scheduling policy.
7. Ask each partner user to log in to the Experience Cloud site and connect a Google or Microsoft account from the Connected Accounts component.
8. If the booking experience also shows the partner user's Salesforce calendar, give the partner user the required access to events and tasks.
9. Test the booking experience and verify that Salesforce Scheduler excludes times when the partner user has an external calendar event.

Example

A financial-services company schedules consultations between customers and partner advisers. Each adviser connects a work calendar through the partner site. When a customer books a consultation, Salesforce Scheduler excludes times when the adviser has an external calendar event and offers only available appointment times.

When a partner user's availability doesn't reflect external events, verify that the user connected the correct account and is included in the active Einstein Activity Capture configuration.
