Use Portability Policies to Execute a Data Subject Access Request

Execute data subject access requests from Privacy Center. Run portability policies to identify and compile relevant customer data.

Required Editions

Available in: Developer, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Privacy Center license.
User Permissions Needed
To use the Data Subject Access Requests feature: ModifyAllData, ManageDsarPolicy, and ExecuteDsarPolicy

To run a portability policy:

  1. From the Privacy Center dashboard, under Portability Policies, click Go to the DSAR Policy Manager in Setup.
  2. Choose an activated policy that includes the root object that matches the record ID included in the data subject access request.
  3. Next to the policy name, from the dropdown list, click Run. If the option to run a policy isn’t listed, click Activate, and then run the policy.
  4. Enter the record ID included in the data subject access request, and then click Run. You receive a confirmation when the policy finishes successfully.
