Partner transactions generate Loyalty Program Partner Ledger records. For prepaid billing, the ledger debits points from the partner's points balance or adds points to the partner's credited points. For postpaid billing, the ledger debits the amount from the partner's balance or adds the amount to the partner's bill amount.

- Debit
- Credit
- Debit Cancellation
- Credit Cancellation
Loyalty Program Partner Ledger records are read-only and can’t be created by users. When the Create Partner Ledgers and Update Partner Balances Data Processing Engine definition is run, partner ledgers are created and partner balances are updated.
Debit Ledger
These ledgers are generated for partner transactions that debit points or amount to partners. For prepaid billing, the ledger debits points from a partner’s points balance. For postpaid billing, the ledger adds debit to the bill amount, increasing the bill amount.
If the member uses prepaid billing, when the member’s transaction is processed, a new Loyalty Program Partner Ledger record of the type Debit worth 5 points is created. After the ledger is processed:
- Debited points change from 50 to 55.
- Points balance changes from 600 to 595.
- Remaining points in the pack change from 15 to 10.
If the member uses postpaid billing, the bill amount increases by an equivalent of 5 partner points.
Credit Ledger
These ledgers are generated for partner transactions that debit points or amount from members. For prepaid billing, the credited points are added to the points balance. For postpaid billing, the ledger adds credit to the bill amount, decreasing the bill amount.
When the member’s transaction is processed, a new Loyalty Program Partner Ledger record of the type Credit worth 10 points is created. After the ledger is processed, for prepaid billing, the partner's credited points change from 250 to 260. For postpaid billing, a credit of 260 is added to the bill amount.
Debit Cancellation Ledger
These ledgers are generated for canceled partner transactions that credited points to members. For prepaid billing, the ledger adds points to the partner’s credit. For postpaid billing, the ledger adds credit to the bill amount.
When the transaction is canceled, a new Loyalty Program Partner Ledger record of the type Debit Cancellation worth 5 points is created. After the ledger is processed, the partner's credit points or bill amount increases to 265.
Credit Cancellation Ledger
These ledgers are generated for canceled partner transactions that deduct points from the partner’s credited points.
When the transaction is canceled, a new Loyalty Program Partner Ledger record of the type Credit Cancellation worth 10 points is created. After the ledger is processed, the partner’s credit points reduce to 255. For postpaid billing, equivalent points are added to the bill amount.
