# Test the Custom Function (Managed Package)

For the managed package runtime, to verify that you have configured the custom function correctly, go to the Omnistudio Data Mapper Designer Formula tab, add a formula, and type the first letter of the function name. The list of available functions is displayed, and if your configuration is correct, your function is listed.

For Omnistudio on standard runtime, see [Omnistudio Help](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_omnistudio_standard.htm&language=en_US).

For example, you can create a Data Mapper to test the SUM function:

1. Go to the Data Mapper Designer and click **New**.
2. Set the Interface Type to Transform and the Input Type and Output Type to JSON. Click **Save**.
3. Go to the Transforms tab and provide the following Input JSON:

    ```
    {
      "a": 2,
      "b": 3
    }
    ```
4. Go to the Formulas tab and click **Add Formula**.
5. Enter SUM(a, b) in the Formula field and total in the Formula Result Path.
6. Go to the Transforms tab, click **Quick Match**, and click **Auto Match**.
7. Go to the Preview tab and click **Execute**. The Response should look like this, although the items might be in a different order:

    ```
    {
      "a": 2,
      "b": 3,
      "total": 5
    }
    ```
