# Post Salesforce Data from Omniscripts (Managed Package)

For the managed package runtime, create and update sObjects and external objects from an Omniscript using the Omnistudio Data Mapper Post Action. If multiple actions are needed, use an Integration Procedure to host the Data Mapper Post Action and handle the requests.

![Managed Package app icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-xcloud-omnistudio_for_managed_packages-264-0-0-production-enus/aa2554ec-624a-4ee6-8da4-6435670e6e62/resources-global/_corporate/images/managedpackageicon.png) This information is for Omnistudio for Managed Packages. For Omnistudio on standard runtime, see [Omnistudio Help](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_omnistudio_standard.htm&language=en_US).

The Data Mapper Post Action sends data from the script to a Data Mapper Load that performs the update or upsert. (When multiple upsert keys are used, the record must match all keys to be considered a match.)When you define the Data Mapper Load, you map data from the Omniscript's Output JSON to fields in sObjects. For details, see [Object Field Mapping (Managed Package)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_object_field_mapping.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "For the managed package runtime, on the Fields tab, you map data from the Omnistudio Data Mapper Load input JSON to the target Salesforce object and field. You can also handle data types, attributes, and default values.").

Before You Begin

1. Learn about Data Mapper Loads. See [Omnistudio Data Mapper Load Overview (Managed Package)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_dataraptor_load_overview.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "For the managed package runtime, Data Mapper Loads accept data in JSON, XML, or custom input formats and write the data to Salesforce objects. Formulas and attributes are supported.").
2. Create a Data Mapper Load. See [Create an Omnistudio Data Mapper Load (Managed Package)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_create_a_dataraptor_load.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "For the managed package runtime, to create a Data Mapper Load, specify its name, input and output types, permissions, and options.").

1. From Omniscript, click Preview.
2. Enter any data you plan to use into the Omniscript. You can prefill elements for testing using the Set Values Action, Default Value element property, or the Seed Data JSON functionality.
3. Copy the Omniscript's Data JSON.
4. In your Data Mapper, paste your Omniscript's data JSON into the Data Mapper's **Input JSON**.
5. Map your data JSON nodes to Object fields.
