# Prepare Your Production Environment (Vlocity Industries Managed Packages and Custom Data Model)

Prepare your production environment, enable required licenses, and then enable the Omnistudio Metadata setting.

1. Upgrade your sandboxes: For a smooth migration and to avoid any version related issues, upgrade your development and testing sandboxes to the latest Vlocity Industries managed package (CME, INS, PS) version Winter ‘26 or later.

2. Provision the Omnistudio license and assign permission set licenses: In your production environment, provision the Omnistudio license to make the Omnistudio standard objects available in the org. Then, assign Omnistudio permission set licenses to grant users access to the objects. 3. Enable Metadata API: In your production environment, enable the **Omnistudio Metadata** setting.
