Install OmniOut Dependencies (Managed Package)

For the managed package runtime, configure and install the OmniOut dependencies using a command-line-tool. Install the tools necessary to build your OmniOut app and view it locally.

Before You Begin

Download the LWC OmniOut static resource. See Download the OmniOut Static Resource (Managed Package).
Request an NPM repository access key from Salesforce Customer Support.
Understand how to run commands in a terminal. See Command Line 101 (git-tower documentation).
Install npm. See npm (npm documentation).

Uncompress the downloaded static resource.
In the uncompressed folder, open the .npmrc file and set _auth equal to your NPM repository access key.

In a new terminal shell, install the npm packages by running the command npm install.
To run the development server, run the command npm run watch in the terminal console.
To view the demo application, access the local development server at localhost:4002.
