# Create the Integration Procedure with the Email Action (Managed Package)

For the managed package runtime, after you create the email template and select the recipient, you can create an Integration Procedure that sends an email to a Contact.

1. Go to the Vlocity Integration Procedures tab and click **New**.
2. Provide an **Integration Procedure Name**, a **Type**, and a **SubType**, and click **Save**.
3. Drag an Email Action component into the Structure panel.
4. Make sure the **Use Template** box is checked.
5. Copy the Email Template Id into the **Select Email Template** field.
6. A drop-down list appears with an item that looks like this: **Simple\_Email\_Template\_1580943234381**. Select the list item. The list item replaces the Id in the field.
7. In the **Email Target Object Id** field, type %contact%.
8. Check the **Save As Activity** box.
