Important
Important After you export your data, validate that it’s ready for deployment. To prevent duplicate data from being uploaded, the Build Tool relies on unique data in fields across the different objects.
  • Log Files (Managed Package)
For the managed package runtime, three log files are generated for every command run.
  • Errors (Managed Package)
For the managed package runtime, review error messages provided by the Omnistudio Build Tool.
  • Clean Data (Managed Package)
For the managed package runtime, the Omnistudio Build Tool includes a script to help find and eliminate incorrect data.
  • External IDs and Global Keys (Managed Package)
For the managed package runtime, most objects that are being deployed have a field or set of fields that are used to find unique records like an External Id in Salesforce. For many objects, the Global Key field is used. If a deployment finds one object that matches the global key, it overwrites that object during deploy.
  • Validate Local Data (Managed Package)
For the managed package runtime, to detect missing and duplicate global keys in the local files that have been exported, use the validateLocalData command.
