For the managed package runtime, the Omnistudio Build Tool can automatically compile and deploy Lightning Web Component (LWC) Omniscript and Flexcards after activation through Puppeteer or Chrome installed on your local machine.
This information is for Omnistudio for Managed Packages. For Omnistudio on standard runtime, see Omnistudio Help.
To install Puppeteer into a build machine or locally, run this command:
npm install puppeteer -g
If your system has Chrome installed, the Build Tool starts a headless Chrome session, authenticates to the deployment org, and uses a page in the managed package to compile and deploy the Omniscript or Flexcard.
To disable this feature, add these lines to your job file:
ignoreLWCActivationOS: true
ignoreLWCActivationCards: true
Otherwise these settings are on by default.
To disable the local compilation of the Flexcards so that the npmAuthKey is used only for the local compilation of Omniscript, add these lines to your job file. The legacy method is used for the Flexcard LWC activation:
ignoreLocalCompilationCards: true
Where there’s a specific executable path for Chrome, or you don’t want to use its headless feature, use these commands:
puppeteerHeadless: false
puppeteerExecutablePath: path/of/chrome
