# Add Inputs to an Edit Block (Managed Package)

For the managed package runtime, when you create or edit multiple records in an Edit Block, you edit the fields in those records by entering data into Input elements. For example, editing Contact records requires Input elements for fields such as Name and Phone.

You can add other types of elements to an Edit Block, such as Formulas and Actions. For a complete list, see

![Managed Package app icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-xcloud-omnistudio_for_managed_packages-264-0-0-production-enus/aa2554ec-624a-4ee6-8da4-6435670e6e62/resources-global/_corporate/images/managedpackageicon.png) This information is for Omnistudio for Managed Packages. For Omnistudio on standard runtime, see [Omnistudio Help](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_omnistudio_standard.htm&language=en_US).

Compatible Elements in [Configure an Edit Block (Managed Package)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_configure_an_edit_block.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "For the managed package runtime, Edit Blocks enable a user to add and edit multiple entries in a single array. For example, you can use an Edit Block to list and edit an Account's list of Contacts. Edit Blocks are repeatable blocks by default. You can prefill repeatable blocks with data by using an array format.").

Note You can't nest Edit Blocks within other Edit Blocks, and you can add only one level of Block inside an Edit Block. Also, Edit Blocks don’t support the Custom LWC Element.

1. In the Omniscript Designer, from the Build tab, expand **Groups**.
2. Drag an Edit Block into a Step.
3. Click the Edit Block's **Enable Edit Mode** icon.
4. From the Build tab, expand **Inputs** or another element category.
5. Drag the elements you need into the Edit Block. For example, for a Phone field, drag a Telephone element into the Edit Block.

Note An Edit Block with an Edit Block Mode of Table can have up to six elements, or columns. Including more than six elements makes the columns small and uneven, resulting in odd word wrapping.
6. Where applicable, name the elements to match the field names. For example, for a Phone field, change the Telephone element's **Name** property from the Telephone1 default to Phone.
