# Add and Edit Components

Add a component to a screen and configure its properties.

### Required Editions

1. In the Design tab, open the components panel.
2. Drag a component onto a highlighted drop area on the canvas.
3. Drop the component in the required position.
    
    It snaps into place, and neighboring components adjust.
4. Select the component.
5. Change its fields in the properties panel.
    
    The canvas updates as you make changes.
6. Select an empty area of the canvas to clear the selection.

Note You can also use the Agentforce panel to add and edit components. Use natural language prompts to make changes to the components. Make edits manually or using Agentforce until you reach your desired effect.
