| To enable consolidation of member points: |
|
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Loyalty Management, and then select Loyalty Management Settings.
- Turn on Consolidate members’ fixed non-qualifying points in real time.
After you turn on the setting, two template Data Processing Engine definitions are added to the org.
After you enable the setting, clone and run one time Aggregate Fixed Non-Qualifying Points in Expiration Ledgers Data Processing Engine definition. The definition ensures that the points credited to members before the setting was turned on, are consolidated in the Loyalty Aggregated Point Expiration Ledger object.
To expire member points, clone the Expire Fixed Non-Qualifying Points Using Aggregated Expiration Ledgers Data Processing Engine definition. Use a scheduled flow to run definition is run based on your non-qualifying currency’s points expiration model.
When real-time consolidation is enabled, if the number of active aggregate loyalty ledgers available for the member and currency combinations specified in a request exceeds 10,000, the request will fail. To prevent this issue, use smaller requests or consolidate members’ fixed non-qualifying points in batches.
For example, if you submit a Transaction Journals Execution API request containing 40 transaction journals, each with a unique member and currency combination that maps to 500 active aggregate loyalty ledgers, the system will try to process 20,000 ledgers simultaneously. Because the number of ledgers exceeds the 10,000 limit, the request fails. To prevent this, split the payload into two separate requests of 20 transaction journals each.
