# Select Members for Tier Upgrade Automatically

You can select members automatically for tier upgrade when their qualifying point balance changes. The setting helps you avoid setting up a custom process to find the members eligible for tier upgrade assessment. In your tier upgrade process, you can assess and upgrade the tier of members who have been automatically selected for tier upgrade assessment.

When a member’s qualifying point balance changes, the Eligible for Tier Assessment checkbox in the member’s Loyalty Program Member record is automatically selected. In the loyalty program process or flow that assesses and upgrades the member tier, you can assess only the members whose Eligible for Tier Assessment checkbox is selected. Or, if you’re using a Batch Management job to schedule your tier upgrade process, add a filter condition in the batch job to select only the members whose Eligible for Tier Assessment checkbox is selected.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Loyalty Management, and then select **Loyalty Management Settings**.
2. Turn on Select Members for Tier Assessment Automatically.
