Loyalty Management uses the limit framework when you set promotion-level limits on points and vouchers for:
- Record-based promotions
- Accrual Events quick promotion
Loyalty Management uses these objects to store the limits:
- Promotion Limit: Stores the promotion-level limits.
- Promotion Limit Usage: Stores the current usage of promotion-level limits.
Every 30 minutes, the framework updates point and voucher limit usage records with actual usage.
Note The framework automatically extends and uses the ConsumptionThresholdContext standard context definition. Don't modify or disable the extended context definition.
The framework enforces the limits when you use the Transaction Journal Execution API.
Customer-level limits aren't enforced by the framework. Enforce them by using the Eligible Promotions List (POST) API
