After you turn on Global Promotions Management, review these additional setup considerations for Loyalty Management and then complete the [Set Up Global Promotions Management](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.global_promotions_management_setup.htm&type=5&language=en_US):

- **[Assign Permissions for Global Promotions Management to Loyalty Management Users](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.loyalty_gpm_assign_permission_sets.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Provide access to Global Promotion Management features based on the user's role in the company. After you assign the permissions, provide additional Loyalty Management specific permissions to your users.
- **[Create Context Definitions for Global Promotions Management in Loyalty Management](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.loyalty_gpm_custom_context_definitions.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Global Promotions Management uses the capabilities of Context Service to enable marketing managers to design pricing promotions tailored to each company's unique requirements. A standard context definition is used to design pricing promotions for most use cases. You can also create custom context definitions for your company’s promotions. If you’re creating a custom context definition for promotions, create additional Loyalty Management nodes based on your business needs.
- **[Configure Rule Libraries for Promotion Context Definitions in Loyalty Management](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.loyalty_gpm_configure_rule_libraries.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Global Promotions Management uses rule libraries to let marketing managers use context definition tags in promotion rule eligibility criteria. When creating custom tag mappings for promotions, create additional Loyalty Management mappings based on promotion requirements.
- **[Automate Promotions Data Sync in Marketing Cloud Engagement for Loyalty Management](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.loyalty_gpm_automated_data_sync_mce.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Global Promotions Management relies on the Marketing Cloud Connect managed package to send data from the Global Promotions Management org to a Marketing Cloud Engagement instance. The marketing journeys that are created in the connected Engagement org for activated promotions use the Global Promotions Management data to send out promotion launch emails. So install and set up Marketing Cloud Connect in the Global Promotions Management org and in the connected Engagement instance. After setting up Marketing Cloud Connect, create Synchronized Data Sources for Global Promotions Management objects in the Engagement instance.
- **[Create Data Graphs for Promotions Segment Verification](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.global_promotions_management_setup_segment_data_graph.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
If you want promotion APIs to use Data Graphs to identify the Data Cloud segments that a customer is a part of, create data graphs by using the unmanaged package or from scratch.
