# Generate Personalized Promotion Targets by Using Predictive AI

Create a Scoring Framework template configuration to generate personalized targets for your loyalty program members.

### Required Editions

Before you generate targets:

- [Complete the prerequisite setup](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.loyalty_set_up_personalized_promotion_target_generation.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Enable Scoring Framework and configure the required permissions and data settings before generating personalized promotion targets by using Predictive AI in Salesforce.").
- Verify that no previous template configuration creation process is running. If a previous instance is running, creating the new template configuration fails.

To generate targets, perform these steps.

1. From Setup, use the Quick Find box to find and select **Scoring Framework**.
2. Click **New Template Configuration**.
3. Configure the new template.
    1. For Template Configuration Type, select **Generate Personalized Promotion Targets**.
    2. Enter a name for the template configuration.
        
        The name must be 13 characters or fewer.
    3. Select **Train and Deploy** to train a model and generate predictions in one run.
    4. Click **Save & Continue**.
        
        The Set Up Configuration page opens.
4. Complete the template configuration setup.
    1. Set up data for training and scoring.
    2. If necessary, define a target variable, select features, and scoring thresholds.
    3. If necessary, configure debug settings.

5. Save the template configuration.
6. Activate the template configuration to start training and scoring.

After you activate the template configuration, use [App Hub](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.tua_manage_monitor_apps.htm&type=5&language=en_US) or [App Install History](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.bi_monitor_app_install.htm&type=5&language=en_US) to monitor progress. We recommend that you use App Hub because it shows detailed backend status messages and logs.

If you need predictions for new customers, rerun your scoring batch data transform regularly to ensure coverage at enrollment. For large datasets, segment members by enrollment date and run predictions for each segment.

Note If activation remains on the DataTransformRefresh step for more than 15 minutes, open the scoring batch data transform and click Update Status from the dropdown menu.
