# Create a Digital Pass Template

Create a digital pass template to connect the static designs on Google's console and the dynamic data stored in Salesforce. This template defines the static design and layout of the pass.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience in&nbsp;<strong>Enterprise</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Performance</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Developer</strong>&nbsp;Editions</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Orgs that have the B2C - Loyalty, B2C - Loyalty Plus, B2B - Loyalty, Loyalty Management - Growth, or Loyalty Management - Advanced license enabled</td></tr></tbody></table>

1. From the App Launcher, search and select **Digital Pass Templates**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Enter the name of the template.
4. Select Google as the service provider.
5. Select the type of template.
    - Use the **Loyalty** template to create a digital version of loyalty membership card that stores the loyalty program member profile information.
    - Use the **Gift Card** template to create a digital version of the member’s vouchers which includes details such as voucher code, value, and expiry date.
6. Enter the service provider template identifier which is the ID of the external template used by the digital pass.
7. Enter a description for the digital pass template.
8. Save your changes.

Note You can add custom parameters to the template based on your business requirements. For example, if you want to display tailored information on the digital pass, you can add custom paramters.

Activate the digital pass template to make it available. After you create the template, the details include the template status. If activation fails, the Status Reason field provides specific details regarding the failure.
