Create a promotion rule by using the configuration options available on loyalty promotion templates. Use the templates to reward only the members of the loyalty program. You can’t use loyalty promotion templates if the promotion isn’t associated with a loyalty program.
Before you use loyalty promotion templates, make sure that the member event is eligible for the promotion and the event has a journal subtype record of the Accrual journal type. After you select a loyalty promotion template, select the member event that the promotion is eligible for.
- Accrual Events
Use the Accrual Events promotion template to offer rewards to members of the company’s loyalty program when they complete an eligible activity. You can add granular conditions that decide the member transactions that are for eligible for rewards. For example, if members shopping from the company’s app is an eligible activity, you can add granular conditions to reward members if they buy five items or more from the app. - Engagement Trail
Use the Engagement Trail promotion template to reward loyalty members for completing activity milestones. Use the default mode to give rewards when they complete a set of activities in any sequence. Use Single Activity Mode to reward members at up to three target levels of a single activity.
